Achievo Engineering Components successfully undertook the complete overhauling of a Right Angle Gearbox used in the Mumbai Metro rolling stock. The project included complete dismantling, inspection, replacement of worn components, precision reassembly, lubrication, and functional testing. The refurbished gearbox successfully completed joint inspection and operational testing in the presence of customer representatives at the Mumbai Metro testing facility.
The Challenge
Metro rail gearboxes operate under continuous duty, vibration and high loads. Over time, seals, bearings, gears and lubricants deteriorate, affecting performance and reliability. The objective was to restore the gearbox to reliable operating condition while meeting the required operating parameters.

- Incoming inspection and condition assessment

Results
